What I do with your information.

Who is responsible

This site and the website service are run by Rhodri Jones, South Wales. You can reach me about anything on this page at contact@rhodrijones.uk.

If you email me

I receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to tell me. I use it for one thing: to read your message and reply to it. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in answering a business enquiry.

If nothing comes of it, the message sits in my mailbox. Ask me to delete it and I'll delete it and confirm that I have.

If you become a customer

I keep the details needed to build and run your website: your business name and contact details, the information and photographs you supply for the site, and your domain and billing records. I use them to provide the service you've paid for, which is the contract between us, and to keep proper accounting records, which is a legal obligation.

Your card details are handled by Stripe. I never see them.

This website

There are no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts on this site. It's a set of static pages. The hosting provider records the technical request information any web server keeps, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.

Who else is involved

To run the service I use a small number of providers: Cloudflare for hosting, Stripe for payments, a mail provider for the studio's and customers' email, and a domain registrar for .co.uk registrations. They only receive what each job needs. Registering a domain also means your details are held by the registrar and the registry, as their rules require.

How long I keep things

Enquiry emails are kept until they're dealt with, or until you ask me to delete them. Customer records, invoices and domain records are kept for as long as you're a customer and then for the period my accountant and the tax rules require.

Your choices

You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. I'll do it within a month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
